John Reisner of the Rotary Club of Haddonfield was graciously honored as the recipient of the Rotary Service Above Self Award. The Service Above Self Award is regarded as the highest honor that can be bestowed on a member. It recognizes up to 150 outstanding Rotarians each year whose service undertakings have made a significant impact on humanity. No more than one recipient is selected from a given district each year, and a person can receive the award only once.

John joined the Rotary Club in 1983. He has served on several community boards and provided much-needed pro bono work to groups such as the Haddonfield Borough Commission; Haddonfield Planning Board; Haddonfield Public Library Board of Trustees; Haddonfield Foundation; Haddonfield Interfaith Caregivers; President of the Haddonfield Civic Association; Historical Society of Haddonfield; and the Haddonfield Community Philharmonic and Marching Band Society.

He has a fervent heart to serve the community and a relentless passion to put others’ needs above his own.  His dedication to improving the quality of life for all those around him is dauntless.  We would like to celebrate John for making an impact through his endeavors, despite adversity and trials for “Service above Self”.
