We are proud to highlight the volunteer work of attorney John Reisner, who recently participated in the Wills for Heroes program at Rutgers School of Law in Camden, New Jersey.
The Wills for Heroes initiative, a partnership between the American Bar Association and the Wills for Heroes Foundation, offers free basic estate planning documents, including wills, to first responders and their spouses or partners. The program is designed to express gratitude for the selfless work of firefighters, police officers, and paramedics, ensuring they and their families have peace of mind about the future.
On March 29, 2025, John joined a group of attorneys, notaries, and witnesses for a full day of sessions organized by the Camden County Bar Association’s Probate & Trust Committee and Rutgers Law Estates & Trusts Society. Volunteers helped first responders draft simple wills tailored to their needs, guided by a straightforward questionnaire and checklist to ensure the process was smooth and accessible.
John’s participation reflects his deep commitment to community service and pro bono work. By donating just a few hours of his time, he helped provide a critical service to those who dedicate their lives to protecting others, many of whom might not otherwise have access to legal support for estate planning.
We thank John for representing our firm and making a real difference in the lives of New Jersey’s first responders.
