Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Nogowski’s professional experience included more than ten years of service as CEO, COO and/or CFO of entrepreneurial companies in the real estate development, technology, manufacturing and food service sectors. Mr. Nogowski has successfully represented families for many years struggling with the responsibility for planning and caring for an elderly or disabled loved one. Mr. Nogowski advocates “life care planning”, which means taking a holistic approach to long-term care planning, disability planning and Medicaid planning matters, with an emphasis on “aging in place” as long as possible. In his elder law practice, Mr. Nogowski has represented elderly and/or disabled clients and their families, in matters including Medicaid planning and applications, estate planning and document preparation, probate and estate administration, disability planning, guardianship and conservatorships, and special needs trusts. Mr. Nogowski has extensive experience in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania, successfully assisting both private companies and municipalities in the process of remediating contaminated properties, and then redeveloping these “brownfield” sites.
Mr. Nogowski has successfully representing owners and operators of contaminated sites in matters such as site remediation requirements, maximizing available public resources in support of remediation, successfully addressing claims regarding “responsible party” liability, and associated litigation.
Mr. Nogowski also provides strategic counsel on post-remediation brownfield redevelopment – returning contaminated properties to successful use, and also returning these properties to a municipality’s tax rolls.
Mr. Nogowski’s Environmental Law practice also includes resolving complex disputes concerning Tidelands Claims, Green Acres restrictions, and related public project condemnation matters.
